Travel to Australia
Day 9 Sydney - Brisbane - Hervey Bay (297 Km.)
Brisbane: Early in the morning we took a plane from Sydney to the capital of Quensland. Brisbane is a picturesque city located on the banks of the River of the same name. The city offers numerous attractions, focused on its way of life and its surroundings: animal sanctuaries, places of historical-cultural interest, museums and galleries. The Queens Street Mall is an ideal place for shopping. Brisbane's past is present in buildings such as the Newsted house, the City Hall or the newly restored Customs House on Queen Street. Game lovers have an appointment at the Treasury Casino, which occupies two of the oldest buildings in the city, built between 1886 and 1901, and cataloged as national heritage.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary - Koalas
From the botanical garden, you can take a CityCat or cross the Victoria Bridge on foot to visit the South Bank area, the entertainment and culture center of Brisbane. There are the Museum of Fine Arts (Queensland Art Gallery), the Queensland Museum, the IMAX, the State Library and the Queensland Performing Arts Complex. South Bank Parklands organizes a craft market on weekends.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary - Kangaroos
The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, 12 km from Brisbane in Fig Tree Pocket, has more than 80 species of animals (wombats, dingos, emus, ...) and birds native to Australia (including several species of parrots), including one Great colony of koalas and kangaroos in their natural environment. It is the oldest shelter for koalas in Australia, opened in 1927. One of the funniest activities that can be done is to be photographed with a koala, but the best of all is undoubtedly entering the kangaroo grounds and feeding them.
