Day 5 Sambin - Futuroscope - Sambin (277 Km.)
(in 138 Km.) Futuroscope: It is an amusement park located on the outskirts of the city of Poitiers. Construction of the park began in 1984. The opening of the park to the public took place on May 31, 1987. In 2008, Futuroscope exceeds 35 million visitors. The present number of cinemas has increased and attractions are regularly renewed. In 2011 he was the only place that had 6 cinemas equipped with IMAX technology in all its versions.
The park has around 30 attractions. To visit all require at least two days. Since we only have one day we must choose on the one hand those that we find most interesting (Arthur 4D, for example) and secondly those we go ahead and see that there is no queue. In addition to the visual attractions is an area called Children´s World, in which there are several water attractions (bring swimsuit and towel is recommended). We ride on Velodos, the Aquabulles and Mission Eclabousse, a boat from which you shoot water to everything what to be put within range.
we saw Fly me to the Moon, a very funny 3D film about some flies that go into space and The Little Prince, a 3D movie with sensory effects also loved by children. The park star is Arthur, the 4D adventure, where you get into a simulator and see a 3D IMAX film accompanied by various sensory effects. The wait is made more bearable by the atmosphere that you find along the queue.
The future is wild is an augmented reality interactive attraction. Using binoculars and a wrist-sensor we interact with a series of virtual animals. After lunch we relaxed watching the film on the giant screen film IMAX 3D Sea Monsters. We also saw Cosmic collisions , a projection made on a dome 21 meters in diameter. The 8th Continent is a fun interactive attraction in which using a laser gun you must destroy trash to make fresh air and get the maximum points.
Apart from the attractions, there are a serie of shows that are showed on scheduled hours. We first saw Imagic, a spectacle of Bertran Lotth, one of the best illusionists in Europe whose magic tricks left us absolutely amazed. At night we enjoyed The blue note mystery, night show presented on one of the park lakes and that is a musical that mixes giant images on water screens, special effects, laser light beams and fire.
(in 139 Km.) We come back to Sambin.
