Day 18 Entrelagos - P.N.Puyehue - Frutillar (263 Km.)

(in 43 Km.) Puyehue N.P.: The national park is divided into two main areas: Aguas Calientes and Anticura. We started the visit to the park walking trails that lead between lush vegetation towards the Salto del Indio, Salto de la Princesa, Salto de Repucura and towards the Gol-Gol River.

This National Park covers an area of 106,772 ha. It is located in the foothills and in the Andes mountains. Its further extension is located in the province of Osorno, Puyehue commune, extending from the north to the province of Valdivia, in the municipality of Rio Bueno.

(in 19 Km.) Termas de Puyehue: The thermal bath of Puyehue is a center of sulfated hot springs (at a temperature of 24-77 degrees Celsius) with a luxury hotel complex located at the beginning of the road that rises to Antillanca. A half of the climb there is another thermal center, the Aguas Calientes, with lower prices and has a natural outdoor pool and another covered.

(in 18 Km.) Antillanca: You climb through the Puyehue National Park, through ponds, lakes (Espejo and Toro among others), waterfalls and ancient trees native to the Valdivian jungle to the ski station at the foot of Casablanca volcano. From the top you can see the Rupanco and Puyehue lakes and the summits of the Osorno, Calbuco, Puntiagudo and Tronador.

(in 151 Km.) Puerto Octay: On the shores of the bay of Lake Llanquihue, and under the protection of peninsula Centinela, Puerto Octay shows the ancestry of the German colonization.

It is a major port for the transport of passengers and cargo around the lake. There are beaches like La Baja, Maitén and the Centinela Peninsula, with its gentle slopes and the rumor of its waters, with picnic areas and camping.
