Travel to the Black Forest
Day 5 Europa-Park
(in 102 Km.) Europa-Park: Europa-Park is the largest theme park in Germany, located in Rust, and also very near of the french city of Strasbourg. The park opened in 1975, being the first park of the continent, impulsed by MACK Rides entertainment company and the city of Strasbourg. In 2014, had a total of sixteen roller coasters and a total of nearly 100 attractions. The park is visited annually by over 5 million people.
Europa-Park - Euro-Mir
The park is divided into fifteen different areas, called as some of the main European countries and themed on them. The park mascot is a gray mouse named Euromaus (Euro Mouse). The realization of the concept of European theme park began in 1981 with the construction of the themed area of Italy (The oldest area of the park), with recreations of the bridges over the canals of Venice and a campanile.
Europa-Park - Poseidon
The arrival at the car park of the park is impressive because it passes near one of the main attractions of the park, roller coaster Silver Star, located in the area of ??Germany. At the time of its inauguration in 2002, was the tallest roller coaster in the world (73 meters), but in 2012 was overtaken by the Shambhala in Portaventura (76 meters) and later by the canadian Leviathan (91 meters).
Europa-Park - Blue fire
This park was pleasantly surprised. The truth is that in Spain there is very little advertising of it and it is little known, but instead, with its nearly 100 attractions, has little to envy the famous Disneyland, especially for the quality of its attractions and more affordable prices (€ 41 adult admission vs 64 € in Disneyland Paris). Although it does not have the charm of encountering the Disney princesses and characters such as Mickey Mouse or Donald, this park is worth it.
Europa-Park - Whales adventures
Another thing that stands in this park is the originality of its attractions, such as Poseidon in the area of ??Greece (one of the most fun areas), half roller coaster and half water ride, or the spectacular Blue fire, where instead of you go up to a certain height and let you go, you accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds to ascend the coaster, give several loops, etc. Another thing to consider is that to ride to some of the top thrill attractions is enough to measure 1.30m., while in other parks for these kind of attractions is 1.40m. Some children will appreciate this detail.
Europa-Park - Euromaus (Euro mouse)
There are also charming attractions for the little ones, as the area of the tales of the Brothers Grimm, the Magic World of Diamonds, a diamond cave with dragons and goblins crossed by the Alpenexpress, roller coaster Pegasus, the Atlantica Supersplash or Fjord-Rafting, which you can ride with only 1 meter in height, or the Magic Cinema 4D.
