Travel to the Black Forest
Day 8 Panoramastrasse
(in 131 Km.) Panoramastrasse: Black Forest panorama route (Schwarzwald Panoramastrasse) is a route of about 50 kilometers and is considered one of the most beautiful in the Black Forest. It extends from Waldkirch to Hinterzarten, crossing St.Peter and St. Märgen and continuing towards Breitnau. The section between Waldkirch and St.Peter crosses Mount Kandel (1243m.), the highest in this region. Us instead of this stretch started the route from Denzlingen, allowing us to cross the valley Glottertal, noted for its flowers and especially the number of vineyards.
Panoramastrasse (Black Forest panorama route)
Past Glottertal valley, the road goes winding through stunning green slopes, dotted with small farms. The truth is that this road, quite busy by cars and motorbikes of tourists who visit it, we liked more than the famous Schwarzwald-Hochstraße due to the beauty of its landscapes. We crossed the population of St.Peter (where highlights its baroque church). As we approach St. Märgen we spotted from the road the two towers of the baroque church of the monastery of 1723. We passed Breitnau, until another of the attractions of the day, Lake Titisee.
